I found your web site doing a search for AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINES using SNAP. It's a great site, and I wish I had found it earlier. I have recently put together a web site about the indigenous people of Australia at http://home.att.net/~ian.simms/graham/ as a project for my sixth grade Gifted and Talented class. You have lots of information I could have used (and I would have also made Damper for the class to try during the presentation!)

I am hoping to visit your country next summer in the People to People Student Ambassador program, and I am looking forward to meeting and talking to some of the original people of Australia most of all.

By the way, yours was the only web site I have found that has wav files of your spoken word. The music section was also really good.

Hello, Liked you're web-site a lot. I've tried to understand the words in you're dictionary but I could not because theres somethin is wrong with the sound on my computer. I was on the prowl for Australian bush tucker and came across your page through the Ozemail search engine (www.anzwers.com.au). Thanks for being here. I found your site very interesting and will spend some time looking around. It didn't quite give me what I was looking for about bush food but has made me interested in finding out more. I live in Canberra and I have been watching the events surrounding the "Tent Embassy" with a lot of interest. Hi Kids My name is Karen, I am from the St Kilda Indigenous Nursery Co-operative (SKINC)

I have really enjoyed looking through you web site. I loved the info and pictures of you guys. I especially enjoyed the info about some of your bush tucker and medicines, as I am involved in running a indigenous plant nursery here in Melbourne. We are a bit different to a normal business, we are what is called a co - operative so this means we are all equal, no one person is boss, we all make decisions together. We have been formed since 1994 (originally as a community nursery at the St Kilda Adventure playground) The nursery grows local native plants for lots of diferent people. We grow about 100,000 plants a year. We have been providing around 25,000 plants a year for the local council ( City of Port Phillip )to try and save existing coastal/heathland areas. We are all trying very hard to bring back birds and animals to live here. Melbourne is a big city and it does not take much to scare them off. We collect all our own seeds, and now have 250 species available. Most of our planting is done in Autumn when the rains come. About 1/3 of our plants are bush tucker/medicines, Each year we have more people coming to our nursery, there is a real interest in natve plants and bush food. A wonderful site! I loved the tour with the pictures. I've never visited Australia although my father and his ancestors were Australian (my great-grandfather and his brother were artists and were co-founders of the Royal Art Society of NSW.
