Town called Ieramagadu (click to listen)

This is my country
We're Yindjibarndi, we're Banyjima
We come from Boomagee
We come from Birrdithuulangu
and we're living in Roebourne now.

We're teaching the children
Yindjibarndi language
here in Roebourne

Yindjibarndi and Banyjima are Aboriginal tribes. Most of the people in Roebourne are from these tribes. The Yindjibarndi and Banyjima were moved from their traditional lands of Boomagee and Birrdithuulangu, into Roebourne. The Yindjibarndi people call Roebourne 'Ieramagadu'
