Healthway Aboriginal Imaging Project
Successful Ngarda-ngarli Yirramagardula
(Successful Aboriginal People in Roebourne)
It has been a terrific opportunity for the secondary children of the Roebourne School to be involved in the
Healthway Aboriginal Imaging Project. This has given them an innovative approach to learning, which has also allowed them to produce very positive images of the people who live in Roebourne.
The following pages show profiles of positive role models who work in the Roebourne community. The people that the students chose to profile, were first interviewed and then a biography was written about them. The students chose to interview these people because they have all built a career in helping people in the community and it is something positive in their own lives.
The secondary students hope to continue with writing about positive people in the community as there are many other people who also deserve recognition.
